Fellowship for Christ
(in His service)
“Christ to the world…” outreach ministry effort
A primary purpose of the
Fellowship for Christ is to fulfill Christ’s requirement of us to help
those who have needs in our community:
“(Jesus said) I tell
you the truth, when you helped one of the least of these my brothers and
sisters, you were doing it to me!’ (Matthew 25:40)
Our goal is to have 100% of
our membership actively engaged in volunteer ministry throughout the community.
Currently we are involved in the following community ministries:
- regular Christian visits at the local
Cherry Pt Bay retirement homes
- regular volunteer assistance at the local Child
Development Center assisting children in need
- support of Compassion International and
WorldVision efforts to assist children in need throughout the world
Our belief is that
all of God’s children are called to help others in need, not just what
has been accepted in today’s institutionalized American churches that ministry
is the responsibility of the clergy and paid staff.
Today’s American Christian
does not fully realize or embrace the Scripture truth that all of those who
believe in Jesus Christ as Savior are “priests” within His kingdom here on
earth:
“He has made us a
Kingdom of priests for God his Father” (Revelations 1:6, NLT)
The other mistake made within
the institutional and traditional American denominational church is that it
looks to “fit its members into its established ministries”.
We believe the church body
should help each member find their gift and talent and then create for them a
ministry that allows them to be “Christ to the world” and help to make this
world a better place to live in.
We invite and encourage you
to join us in our outreach ministry efforts. If you are engaged within local
ministry efforts you believe we might be interested in joining, please also let
us know of these opportunities.
With all of God’s children
involved in outreach ministry, just imagine how we could change the world…
